Synopsis:
A weekend boating trip through the Norfolk Broads becomes a terrifying, deadly ordeal for six 20-something year old friends.

Aboard the Corsair Star, a small cruiser rented from the local marina operator, the boating party loses its bearings and cuts through the vast reedy tidewater in search of the main channel. After the first casualty by a freak accident, the boat runs aground.

Every effort to preserve themselves and find a way out fails, as one by one the friends are terrorized by young punks and killed by a hooded man with a gun. There is no escaping this vast waterway, a place of endless return, presided over by Croker who killed a group of young people decades before and initiated the hellish curse which traps all who take passage on the Corsair Star.

JONAH HEX NEEDED TO BE RESHOOT?

According to Bloody Disgusting, Warner's adaptation of Jonah Hex may well be back into the studio again for additional shooting. Althought the original production has wrapped months ago, the movie like many other may require extra shooting to fit in new ideas or simply to make them much nicer.

To make it all interesting, it seems that the director Jimmy Hayward may need some guidance and consultation from I Am Legend's Francis Lawrence. This is a bit to worry as if Hayward is not confidence of his perpertual product.

Of course, Hayward is a "junior" in terms of live-action direction. Previously, he directed two Fox animation - Robots and Horton Hears A Who!

Another leaked out information from Spoiler TV has that the characters including the lead's wife and child, may well be included. This will help to bolster more on Hex's background though.

Anyway, we still have to wait until the final product first before anything happens now be crystal clear.

MOVIE REVIEW: ZOMBIELAND

Plot: This horror comedy focuses on two men who have found a way to survive a world overrun by zombies. Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) is a big wuss but when you're afraid of being eaten by zombies, fear can keep you alive. Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) is an AK-toting, zombie-slaying bad ass whose single determination is to get the last Twinkie on earth. As they join forces with Wichita (Emma Stone) and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin) who have also found unique ways to survive the zombie mayhem, they will have to determine which is worse: relying on each other or succumbing to the zombies.

Zombieland takes you to an adventure where you can forget all about aliens, vampires or werewolf. This time, the undeads are the zombie clan as well as the zombie killing quartet. As promised, the movie delivers a great deal of humor as well as horror. Zombieland is truly a phenomenon and no wonder why many people loves it.

Zombieland takes the audience to discover the post-apocalyptic America, where a zombie apocalypse has been triggered by mad cow disease (a contaminated beef burger). Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) is on his way back to hometown to see if his parents are alive. Losing his car, he meets Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) and they travel together to accompany the mad cowboy to search the probably last Twinkie in the world. Then they meet two sisters, Wichita (Emma Stone) and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin), and together after some bizzare moments, form a partnership to kill zombies.

The film possesses some uniqueness in it. First is the ability to tell the story of apocalypse through the witty dialogue and popular culture. Conventionally a horror film means seriousness in tone, but thank god that we do not need to go through the pain of attempting to kill the undead like Alice. Instead, the whole road trip and the zombie killing were made so much fun to do.

Second, Zombieland is able to stay in attention of what it tries to deliver. The comedy is able to stand alone with its focus goal on zombie. Third, the gore is timely and this by far to show that zombie can be an interesting subject matter. The whole zombie-theme is in fact an expansion of the highly creative and innovative experience that mash well with the plot.

Zombieland is a smart and high actionable flick that can be enjoyable at time. It has on itself able to create its own running gag, dialogue and popular culture that will stand alone for the next film installment (the sequel looks imminently will happened).

However, I have to assure you that Zombieland is not meant for kids. Gory and bloody - those are the elements you will see throughout the movie. Bloody mayhem rules the street along the road trip no doubt. The only down side is that the humour joke can be lame at time. Usually I don't find it laughable but luckily, this is a special case that should be spared from others.

Woody Harrelson, fresh from seeing him in another madhatter role in 2012, in undeniable for his natural comedic role. Jesse Eisenberg played well both as a lead role and as a narrator, been witty while maintaing his phobia for clown evenly. The four characters - including the two sisters as portrayed by Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin form a likable team with conflicting personal influential on each other. Perhaps, the biggest surprise is indeed Bill Murray, which I believe his cameo role is outrageously funny.

In shorts, looking for a fantastic zombie killing spree that has some romantic curiosity sub-story, road trip that makes everyone happy and a real ass-kicking zombie directly on their head? Well you got one. Zombieland may perhaps be the best comedy of the year. I have to say the cinematography is very satisfying.

Quarantine Trailer

Quarantine looks very much like Resident Evil or Dead Alive. As the poster says the government sealed off an apartment complex in Los Angeles because of some deadly virus and nobody stayed alive there. Trailer is not bas but the plot looks not really originak. Let's wait a couple of days for the movie in theaters :)

A Nightmare on Elm Street Trailer

I guess everybody knows Freddy Krueger,the horror-monster of the 80s. You know it seems to be very popular to re-film horror-legends(like Helloween or Friday the 13th). So this time director Samuel Bayer makes a new story of Freddy Krueger. I'm not sure if it'll be a 3D-version of the movie,but the trailer looks really creepy!

This movie started out really small. It's a low-budget film in the style of "The Blair Witch Project" and "Cloverfield." Well, it's been getting quite a reaction from audiences that the movie company is deciding to release it nationwide October 16th. Which I'm glad because this was an AMAZING movie.

First off, I kind of have a grudge against the whole shooting from a handheld video camera because I feel it's been done far too much. I loved it in "The Blair Witch Project" and thought it was cool in "Cloverfield," but after that it got EXCEEDINGLY old. Well they did a fantastic job with this movie. When I first went into the theater I wasn't very optimistic, another horror movie from the handheld perspective, lame.

I was wrong, it's starts out pretty boring, a few bumps and noises here and there, but that's just the setup, it gets far more intense and scary as the movie progresses, and by the time the movie was over, I have to take in a deep breath because I hadn't been breathing very much throughout the movie. So definitely see this if it's at a theater near you, because I don't know how good this would be on video.

Zombieland

Starring Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Amber Stone and Abigail Breslin, this zombie comedy is about a group of four lonely people coming together during a zombie apocalypse.

So, I've been waiting a couple weeks to see this movie, because I've been kinda low on cash lately, but I now finally got to see what all the hype was with this movie, and I have to say, it lived up to it. The first and most general thing I have to mention about this movie is that this is the first zombie movie to have a heart. Pretty much every zombie movie in the past was to scare you so much you shit your pants, the exception being "Shaunn of the Dead."

So I really like how we get to know the character's. It also wasn't an over the top spoof, like "Shaun of the Dead" was. Then of course I'm sure you've all heard, there is an absolute brilliant cameo by Bill Murray. So if you are looking for a reason to see this, see it for Bill Murray's cameo. There's not too much more I can say about this movie, other than it's my second favorite zombie movie of all time! The number one of course being the original George Romero classic "Night of the Living Dead."

The Giant Spider Invasion

Made by and starring nobody, and targeted by "Mystery Science Theater 3000," this movie is about alien spiders that crash in rock like pods and try to eat people.

You want to know how much this movie sucks and why they used it on "Mystery Science Theater 3000?" You can watch it for free on Hulu.com. Okay that's not the only reason, but I find it funny you can watch it there for free, but I don't know why you'd want to. If you don't watch it with the "MST3K" commentary, you will end up in severe pain, because this movie is terrible.

HORRIBLE acting, and just all around dumb story makes it a perfect target for "MST3K." Basically in a nutshell it's about alien spiders that try to eat people. You can pretty much gather the rest from there.

The Fourth Kind

Starring Milla Jovovich and Will Patton, this movie is about a small town in Alaska that was subject to extra-terrestrial visitors and the story of a psychologist that discovers what's happening.

This movie was pretty good, it wasn't amazing, but it was decent. What's kind of annoying me is that a lot of things in this movie are true, but then there's a lot of things that aren't that the filmmakers are playing off as true. I'm a skeptic and a believer in extra-terrestrial beings. I believe there is other life out there, but as to what it is I can't say for sure.

So basically I'm not taking this movie too seriously and neither should you. Go in there, watch it, but don't go around saying how amazing and true it is. You'll sound like your someone that thinks "The Blair Witch Project" and "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" really happened.

A new trailer of the upcoming remake movie Friday the 13th has been shown during the 2008 Scream Awards. If you forgot why a hockey mask can be scary then you will remember right away!

This new Friday the 13th is a retelling of the original cult horror film: one can say that it is a reboot of Friday the 13th.

I hope it will be at least as great as the original one. So far, so good: this new Friday the 13th movie actually does even look somewhat better...

Friday the 13th is a retelling of the original cult horror movie of the same name (1980) that spawned into a successful movie series. This remake of Friday the 13th, produced by Michael Bay, is directed by Marcus Nispel and written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift. The film will take elements from the first three movies. Co-producer Brad Fuller also stated about the remake:

"I think there are moments we want to address, like how does the hockey mask happen. It’ll happen differently in our movie than in the third one. Where is Jason from, why do these killings happen, and what is Crystal Lake?"

Following the succes of the 2003 Korean horror movie A Tale of Two Sisters, a Hollywood remake has been shot. But the remake is titled The Uninvited. The film is directed by Charles and Thomas Guard. It is starring Emily Browning, Arielle Kebbel
Elizabeth Banks, and David Strathairn. The movie should be released at the end of January 2009.

Judging from the trailer the movie looks rather appealing. It is a remake movie, but I didn't see the original Korean movie so I don't have special expectations for now. Shall wait and see if this horror flick is worth it.

At least the girls in the lead cast of the Uninvited are cute.

The upcoming Uninvited is indeed a remake of a South Korean psychological horror movie titled A tale of Two Sisters which was released in 2003. It was directed by Kim Ji-woon and is both the highest-grossing Korean horror film and the first to be screened in American theaters.

The plot of A Tale of Two Sisters is actually inspired by an old Korean folktale entitled "Janghwa Hongreyon-jon", which has been adapted to film several times.

A horror movie from Asia can sometimes be even damned scary: not only the movie is scary in itself but with the Asian faces and languages just you're lost in translation which adds up to freak you out even more!

For once I think I'll just watch the American remake movie... better for my heart to avoid the original Korean film! So for Uninvited ok, but for A Tale of Two Sisters, no thank you...
