About the film:
Rizwan Khan, a Muslim from the Borivali section of Mumbai, suffers from Asperger syndrome (a form of high-functioning autism complicating socialization). The adult Rizwan marries a Hindu single mother, Mandira, in San Francisco. After 9/11, Rizwan is detained by authorities at LAX who mistake his disability for "suspicious" behavior. Following his arrest, he meets Radha, a therapist who helps him deal with his situation and his affliction. Rizwan then begins a journey to meet US President Obama to clear his name.

Chandni Chowk to china : largest Bollywood splash in US

Washington/New York, Warner Bros' first Bollywood production "Chandni Chowk to China" makes the largest-ever opening of any Bollywood film in US and Canada Jan 16 with its release on more than 125 screens in over 50 markets.

In addition, the Akshay Kumar starrer will also be released in 40 international markets, opening day-and-date with North America in 25 markets, according to Dan Fellman, President of Domestic Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures. The other markets will open the film in the weeks ahead.

The first-ever Bollywood kung fu comedy, "Chandni Chowk to China" follows one man's passage from simple cook to kung fu fighter, on a thrilling, madcap journey from the by-lanes of Chandni Chowk in Delhi to the grandeur of the Great Wall of China and beyond.

At a press conference in New York Thursday to mark the premiere of the film in the US, Akshay Kumar described "Chandni Chowk..." as a "pure Bollywood story".

Al d best SALLU.

The movie would probably do better if another actor was in it instead of Salman Khan. I have nothing against him but I didn't really like his previous movie "GOD TUSI GREAT HO". He claims to be a MUSLIM but put an insult to the name of ISLAM. There is no one greater than GOD, therefore no one can act to be God. In my opinion he should act in a movie like that and claim to be muslim man. If he is a true muslim he should have known better.

As we all are aware about the success of Hanuman so more and more production houses are going to follow the trend. Now Percept Picture Company has made a film Jumbo. This is also an animated movies based on a story of baby elephant named Jumbo. Percept's Jumbo may not be as entertaining as Hanuman - one film that opened the doors for animation films in India - but it is shades better than most amateur attempts that followed the success of Hanuman.

Jumbo, based on 'Chao Praya Prah Hongsawadee', a story by Ariya Jintapanichkarn, tells the adventures of Jaiveer aka Jumbo, a baby elephant. He dreams of following Yudhveer, his absent father, and becoming the royal elephant. Jumbo decides to go in search of his father.

A weakened Jumbo then comes upon a village where humans and elephants are working together. He is befriended by a beautiful young elephant cow, but is then chained up until he is tamed. Jumbo soon learns to value the humans who have captured him. Under the training of a wise, old mahout, he becomes bigger and stronger.

A local warlord comes around annually to collect tax from the village, and his taxes have become greedier each year. The village rebels and with the humans and elephants working together, the warlord and his beasts are defeated.

The call then goes out from the king for elephants for his army. Jumbo is taken to the palace. There, he is seen by his mother, who calls out to him. Jumbo goes wild in trying to break free from his chains to meet his mother. The King notices this, and remembers Jumbo from his childhood. The king is able to calm Jumbo, and from then on Jumbo serves as the personal war elephant of the kin.

Aaj Tak channel has launched her own awards with the start of the new year, which is based on the votes of the viewers.

Based on the votes recieved, the channel voted, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi as the best flick of the year. They also awarded the best debut award to Anushka Sharma and again gave top honors to Rab Ne, by awarding Aditya Chopra as the best director of the year.

Salman threatens Shahrukh’s Family

Katrina already blames Salman for the face-off with Shahrukh at her birthday and now Salman has made things bad to worse. Salman made a filthy attempt to disgust not only Shahrukh but also Katrina.

He got heavily drunk on Monday night and reached Shahrukh’s residence and made some ugly statements while threatening Shahrukh’s wife and kids. An eyewitness claims that he saw Salman acting wierd, all drunk, abusing and yelling at him.

Directed by debutante director Kunal Roy Kapoor The President Is Coming is film that betrays conventional thinking. The film actually was to release last year in November but the makers of the film delayed it for some reasons. The President Is Coming is a rib-tickling story about the President's visit to India and the Indian youth. In fact, it's the first-ever 'mockumentary' that lampoons Bush and also the desi youth.

The movie is a take-off on President Bush's visit to India in 2006. Interspersed is a situation where a PR firm has been hired to shortlist an Indian below 30 years of age to shake the President's hand.

Six candidates are short listed. They are from different places in India with varying intellectual degrees and personalities. There's Konkona Sen Sharma, Ira Dubey, Vivek Gomber, Satchit Puranik, Namit Das and Anand Tiwari. Shernaz Patel and Shivani Tanksale head the PR firm. They are subjected to a 'reality' situation where they are put through various tests to determine their skills and aptitude. Yes, there is elimination, sans drama, and the winner will shake the President's hand.
