CLASH OF THE TITANS NEW TRAILER

Posted By Doncrack On 3:35 AM 0 comments
The release of the first teaser trailer was already awesome enough to spark some fireworks of interest on the netizens about the loose remake of 1981's original. Warner Bros. has came out with a new one instead. This looks like the first official trailer and expect a better one to come when Clash Of The Titans is drawing near.

In this film, the ultimate struggle for power pits men against kings and kings against gods. But the war between the gods themselves could destroy the world. Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus (Worthington) is helpless to save his family from Hades (Fiennes), vengeful god of the underworld. With nothing left to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus (Neeson) and unleash hell on Earth. Leading a daring band of warriors, Perseus sets off on a perilous journey deep into forbidden worlds. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, he will only survive if he can accept his power as a god, defy his fate and create his own destiny.

Clash of the Titans, is directed by Louis Leterrier and will see Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes and Gemma Arteton. The film based on the Greek mythology will arrive at theaters on 26 March 2010.

Watch the trailer below and I promised you a full-blown away. That's my promise.

Point Break

Posted By Doncrack On 12:29 AM 0 comments

Starring Keanu Reeves, Patrick Swayze, Gary Busey and spoofed in the movie "Hot Fuzz," this movie is about an FBI agent who goes undercover to try and figure out who's behind a series of bank robberies (and yes, IT IS the most cliche movie you will ever see).

Do you want to know about a movie that is more silly than any Michael Bay movie and more cliche than any James Bond film? Well I have it, "Point Break." This is one of the most rediculous movies I've ever seen. Terrible acting (Keanu Reeves at his worst, if you can believe he can't get any worse), terrible story, and terrible action, considering THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE AN ACTION MOVIE!!!

I don't think I liked anything about this movie. Maybe if you were to give Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze a different film they could actually work well together (although it would be kind of difficult now). One more thing I'd like to mention. This movie is like "Last Action Hero" without the joke of it being an action movie. That's how bad it is.

The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day

Posted By Doncrack On 9:16 PM 0 comments

Returning from the first "Boondock Saints" is writer/director Troy Duffy, and actors Sean Patrick Flanery, Norman Reedus, Billy Connolly, and some new faces like Julie Benz (she's in my favorite show "Dexter") and Peter Fonda. In this one the Saints have to return to Boston to track down a killer who murdered their Priest friend.

If you are at all a fan of the first "Boondock Saints" this is an absolute must see. It's a giant jumbled mess of violence and comedy, but it work so well. It was so great to see the brothers back, and even Willem Dafoe's replacement does a great job. She's played by Julie Benz, who's in one of my favorite TV shows "Dexter."

One addition I really enjoyed was this Mexican sidekick they get, Romeo, he was absolutely hilarious. There's a scene where he tries to come up with a memorable line, like "we need a bigger boat" or "hasta la vista baby," but he ends up coming up with one of the most hilarious lines in film history. So definitely check this out even if you may not have seen the first one, because my review for the first "Boondock Saints" was written on June 21, 2006, and I barely remember the first one. What's funny is I say I wish they would have come out with a sequel, and here it is.

Main Cast:
Patrick Swayze
Keanu Reeves
Gary Busey
Lori Petty
John McGinley

Director:
Kathryn Bigelow

About the movie:

Pointbreak (1991) is an action adventure movie that focused on extreme sports like sky diving and surfing.

The movie is about Johnny Utah (Keanu Reeves), an undercover FBI agent assigned to investigate a group of bank robbers known as the "Ex-Presidents". The Ex-Presidents are hard to get caught because they only deal in cash and never leave clues about their activities. He suspects that there's a connection between the "Ex-Presidents" and the local surfers in the coastal area of Los Angeles after his partner, Pappas gave him some information about the suspicious group of surfers.

Point Break has its original action sequences, a tight plot and a bunch of Hollywood's well-known actors. Point Break is a very stylish action movie with amazing surfing and sky-diving stunts plus a great chase scene and a thrilling parachute-less jump as its highlight.

It is one great achievement for Kathryn Bigelow as a woman who handled the action and suspense scenes with expertise. The movie deserves to be recognized as one of the best action movies of the 90s along with Die Hard, Speed and others.

Walt Disney Pictures has enrolled Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, to take care of two young aliens in the upcoming sci-fi adventure movie Race To Witch Mountain. To avoid being crushed or ignored in the cluster of movie trailers that will be shown during the Super Bowl 2009, Disney has opted for an early start of its Superbowl trailer of Race to Witch Mountain.

Some may think that race to Witch Mountain is a sci-fi movie for teens but I do wait for this movie with impatience!

Dwayne Johnson is taxi driver turned nanny for young human-like aliens in Race To Witch Mountain, an upcoming science-fiction movie by Walt Disney Pictures. Here below the latest international trailer of Race To Witch Mountain.

In the movie Race To Witch Mountain the taxi driver played by Dwayne Johnson aka the Rock would have expected green little aliens with antennas instead of teenagers on the run.

What about you? How do you imagine an alien encounter? Like in the movie Race To Witch Mountain?

The siblings Sara (ANNASOPHIA ROBB) and Seth (ALEXANDER LUDWIG) have some myterious paranormal powers. But they still need a nanny: and that’s Jack Bruno (DWAYNE JOHNSON) the taxi driver’s job!

I think that the movie Race To Witch Mountain is a good film to educate children about science fiction: they watch it in their childhood and are addicted to sci fi once grown up!

Race to Witch Mountain is an upcoming sci-fi movie, remake of the original 1975 film Escape to Witch Mountain. This new version, using a script by Matt Lopez, is a modern re-imagining of the 1975 movie. “A UFO expert enlists the help of a cab driver (Dwayne Johnson The Rock) to protect two siblings (AnnaSophia Robb and Alexander Ludwig) with paranormal powers from the clutches of Ciaran Hinds and his organization who want to use the kids for their nefarious plans.” (Source: IMDb)
An interesting sci-fi movie, even if Dwayne Johnson is quite unlikely in the role of a taxi driver turned nanny…

A nice movie for kids isn't? And don't be hypocrite: I'm sure it is going to make you chuckle too! Just look at the dog in Ace Ventura 3: he is ridiculously irresistible!

The son (Josh Flitter) of Ace Ventura follows the path of his pet detective father (Jim Carrey) indeed! Cheesy clothes and strange pets are stark examples of his filiation.

A third Ace Ventura movie has been in production and should be released soon. There must be some pet-detective gene in the Ventura bloodline because the son is gonna step into his father's shoes!

The film titled Ace Ventura Jr. is starring Josh Flitter in the lead role. Too bad that Jim Carrey is not part of the movie though...

Ace Ventura 3 Synopsis:

Starring: Dakota Fanning, Teri Hatcher, John Hodgman, Keith David
Music by: They Might Be Giants, Bruno Coulais
Budget: $35 million
Movie Release Date: February 6, 2009

Coraline (2002) is a novella for children and adults by the British author Neil Gaiman. This story has been compared to Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland books because of its surreality and its alternate-reality based plot.

Following the success of the book the adaptation of the plot to the cinema has been decided. As a result an animated movie based on Neil Gaiman's novel should be released in January 2009 February 2009.

The movie, also entitled Coraline, will use both stop-motion technics and CGI in order to produce a brand new experience for the spectators.

The Plot:
"This is the story of a young, bored girl named Coraline Jones who discovers that a bricked-up wall behind a door in her flat leads to another world, with another mother, and another father. When she tries to go back, she realizes that her other mother has kidnapped her real parents and she must fight to get them back."

I'll be happy to bring my children to watch this movie. Actually, even if they don't want to go I'll go alone: Coraline is based on a really interesting plotwith deep meanings. One should not miss it!

Underworld 3

Title: Underworld 3 aka Underworld Rise of the Lycans
Genre: Action/Fantasy/Horror/Thriller
Directed by: Patrick Tatopoulos
Written by: Len Wiseman, Danny McBride
Starring: Rhona Mitra, Bill Nighy, Michael Sheen, Kevin Grevioux, Shane Brolly
Movie Releases: January 23, 2009

The Underworld movie series goes on with a third opus. This third Underworld installment, still directed by Patrick Tatopoulos, is tilted Underworld Rise of the Lycans. It should be release in January 2009.

This Underworld 3 movie is actually a prequel to the two previous films: in Underworld 3 we will explore the origins of the conflict between the Lycans and the Vampires.

Plot:
"The prequel will trace the origins of the centuries-old blood feud between the aristocratic vampires known as Death Dealers and their onetime slaves, the Lycans. In the Dark Ages, a young Lycan named Lucian (Sheen) emerges as a powerful leader who rallies the werewolves to rise up against Viktor (Nighy), the cruel vampire king who has enslaved them. Lucian is joined by his secret lover Sonja (Mitra) in his battle against the Death Dealer army and his struggle for Lycan freedom."

Are you ready to take you side in January during Underworld Rise of the Lycans? By the way are you Lycan or Vampire? I'm none of those myself, I found a more appealing interest in Underworld 3: the sexy and beautiful Rhona Mitra!

With underworld 3 you will better understand why the vampires are at odds with their former slaves the Lycans.

Outlander

Title: Outlander
Genre: Action/adventure/Sci Fi
Directed by: Howard McCain
Written by: Dirk Blackman and Howard McCain
Starring: James Caviezel, Sophia Myles, Ron Perlman, John Hurt, Jack Huston
Budget: $40 million
Movie Release Dates: January 23, 2009

A final trailer of Outlander has shown up in an ultimate tentative to reignite the buzz around this sci-fi movie starring James Caviezel before its official US release on January 23, 2009.

The outlander James Caviezel comes to save a Viking village from the fury of an evil and destructive alien seen above.

I cannot see too much of science fiction movies. Outlander, though not hard core sci fi, is welcome with its peculiar genre.

An international trailer has been released for Outlander, upcoming sci fi movie starring James Caviezel as a Savior from outer space who will protect a Viking village from the wrath of an evil dragon.

This sci fi movie looks promising judging from this latest Outlander trailer.

But I'm worrying that the movie still hasn't a release date yet in the USA while Latvia and Russia will have it in the coming months: it could potentially leak onto torrent networks before it comes to America...

So I hope the movie Outlander will have a US release as soon as possible: the movie deserves to be shown in theaters and is worth public attention!

The filming of Outlander is not as secret as for other movies. Indeed many Tv channels have been authorized to come on the Outlander set. So we have quite good sneak previews of this upcoming epic science-fiction movie.

Outlander is an upcoming science-fiction movie directed by Howard McCain. The film stars James Caviezel(who was Jesus Christ in the Mel Gibson film The Passion of the Christ).

The plot:
"Outlander begins when a space craft crashes into the majestic fjords of ancient Norway and into the time of the Vikings. From the wreckage emerge two bitter enemies: a soldier from another world – Kainan – and a bloodthirsty creature known as the Moorwen. Man and monster both seeking revenge for violence committed against them. As the Moorwen ravages the Viking world, killing everything in its path, Kainan forms an unlikely alliance with the primitive but fierce warriors. Combining his advanced technology with ancient Iron Age weapons, the hero leads a desperate attempt to kill the monster - before it destroys them all." (Source: Weinstein Company)

I am fond of science fiction, so I'm quite glad to hear about this movie. Besides the idea of a movie opposing the Vikings and their drakkars (their boats) helped by a kind Human from outer space to an evil ugly alien sounds really nice.
Let's hope we will have a real Outlander trailer soon...

Outlander is an upcoming sci fi movie opposing the vikings against an evill alien.
If Thor can't help them Jesus will, er no, actually it's Kainan (James Caviezel).

Outlander Behind The Scenes

In Outlander an evil ugly alien from outer space disturbs a quiet viking village. But can Hollywood make such a creature? Well just hire Tatopoulos, whose skills have been honed on more than one famous movie, to do the job:
